Lemonade for Sale

Ellen has discovered her Johnston entrepreneurial gene and had a lemonade stand during the first VERY hot weekend this year. She was very good at yelling "LEMONADE FOR SALE" at the top of her voice but eventually got tired and needed to rest her voice. She managed to make over $10 and hounded me for the next week until I found the time to take her to the Disney Store so she could spend her profits. I'm guessing we'll have many more lemonade stands this summer so please feel free to drive by when you are thirsty!

5K

I ran a 5K and managed to shave 3 minutes off a year ago. Now if I could only shave 10 pounds off :-)

Pumpkin Pie

Ellen loves pumpkin pie and since Grandma Sandy also has a taste for it, they decided to make 2 and proceeded to have a piece of pie at least once a day for the rest of Grandma Sandy's visit!

Easter Hunt

Easter morning started out with Anais in a bit of trouble. The boys were of course up at 5am so Shawn and I were in the family room with them. The Easter Bunny had hidden the eggs in the front living room knowing that not all the kids would be up at the same time. We thought once everyone was up, we would commence with the festivities. When Anais woke up she quietly came down the stairs and noticing a "hidden" egg in the living room decided to have her own private hunt and subsequent chocolate egg feast. We knew nothing of this until she came around the corner with sticky fingers and a mouth full of chocolate! One smart cookie, that one! We re-filled and hid the eggs and had a hunt for all 4 kids once Ellen was up.

Grandma Sandy visits

Grandma Sandy was able to visit over the girls Spring Break and for Easter. As always it was great to have her here and we were thankful for all her help. We miss you and can't wait to see you again in August!

Jessica and the kids

Jessica took the kids to Battery Park and then Chuck E Cheese for dinner before she took a much needed vacation for Spring Break. We hope you are getting a chance to work on your tan! We miss you!!!
