Habitat for Humanity

My brother, Peter, his partner Steph and their daughter Raina were approved for a condo in downtown Madison through Habitat for Humanity! It hasn't yet been built but they are very excited. They'll get a $150,000+ condo for $80,000 with an interest free mortgage and promise to work 360 hours for Habitat for Humanity. They have been involved in helping with the organization in the past and I'm thrilled that they have this opportunity. This is an example to me of how great this organization is so I thought I'd spread the word. If you are interested in learning more, the website is www.habitat.org

I booked my flight today to go to DCI. I'll be there Friday and Saturday night with Nicolas in tow. Anyone else going?

TEETH!!!!

It seems like only yesterday I was pushing out one pup and going under the knife for the other and yet today - just one day shy of the twins 4 month b-day - Nicolas has his first TWO teeth! Good god, time flies. And isn't it funny that he would get 2 in at once. Must be a twin thing :-)

Stronger and stronger everyday

It seems that the boys are getting big and strong very quickly. Here is a photo of them having some tummy time. They are very quick to smile these days and Dylan seems like he could rollover soon.

Sleeping on the job!

Grandpa Dave has arrived this week bearing gifts which have made the girls very happy. He is visiting for 3 weeks and we are all enjoying our time with him.

Soccer Camp

Ellen had soccer camp this last week and she was one of 2 girls in the 3-6 year group of 15 or so kids. The camp was pretty intense but she hung in there pretty well given it was in the mid 90s with high humidity. And Anais enjoyed being a spectator :-)

Bye Grandma Sandy

Grandma Sandy left on Sunday after 11 fun-filled days of sewing, storytelling and diaper changing. Thanks for all your help, Mom!

Hannah

Here's a shot of our au pair, Hannah. She's been a big help this last week and has quickly learned how to juggle 2 babes at once - a necessary skill at our house.

Grandma Sandy's boys

Here's a photo of Grandma Sandy with Nicolas and Dylan. She's having a great time with her so-called "perfect" grandchildren.

Jamberry

On Saturday we strapped in the fam and went berry picking at a nearby farm in Maryland. The blueberries and black raspberries were in abundance although we didn't make it home with all that we picked as Anais's pickings went from bush to mouth. It was a beautiful day and great fun! And who knew blueberries grew on bushes? Now we have 5 lbs of frozen blueberries to make blueberry scones, muffins and pancakes for the rest of the year. And enough black raspberries to make jam to go with them. Yum!

Grandma Sandy

Grandma Sandy has been here since last Wednesday and besides cuddling her "perfect" twin grandsons, she's been very busy sewing. She made this beautiful Cinderella gown for Ellen. The only thing missing are the glass slippers and, of course, Prince Charming :-)
