Goodbye Christine and Arnd

We recently enjoyed a visit from Jenny's parents. They were here for 1 1/2 weeks and did many little trips to NYC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and, thanks to the low dollar, the mall :-). We hope they enjoyed their time in the states and with our family. The kids certainly liked having them around. And I think Jenny did too :-) Thanks, Christine and Arnd! Take care.

Race Day

I ran my first 5K race post baby-making. And I finished in 29:34 - under 30 minutes which was my goal. I joined a "Moms In Motion" team back in January and we all trained and ran the race together. It was fun and I'm very proud of myself for making and taking the time to do it.

Happy Birthday, Jenny!

Jenny turned the big 21 today. Her parents are visiting from Germany to help her celebrate and they have done many daytrips to NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, etc over the last week. We had a little party after dinner with a Hello Kitty cake and lots of presents. Happy Birthday, Jenny!!!

My mom came for 2 weeks and helped with the kids so I could go to WGI in Ohio (brace yourself) by myself! I even weaned the boys before I left so I didn't have to bring a pump. It was wonderful to see old friends, sleep until I wanted to wake up. The only schedule I had was my own. Who knew freedom could be so sweet :-) So a big thanks to my mom, Shawn and Jenny for helping with the kids so I could escape for a few days.

New Toy

We decided it was more economical to buy a riding lawn mower and cut the grass ourselves instead of paying a gardener. We like to think of it as a suburban tractor.

Ponytail

Now it's Anais's turn to put her golden locks in a ponytail. Very exciting!

Hayride

We went on a hayride with Ellen and Anais's school. Grandma Sandy even joined in on the fun.

Happy Birthday, Shawn!

We celebrated Shawn's birthday with a nice dinner and a Pirates of the Caribbean theme. Shawn chose the meal and the girls chose the cake and decorations. Happy Birthday, Honey!
