Every year Shawn makes a multi-course dinner with an international theme for Christmas Eve. This year he is reviving Chile - based on some of the meals he had while living there as a child. He did this menu several years ago but for reasons I won't mention here, he couldn't serve wine so thought he'd try it again. Yesterday, he started working on the dessert - Empanaditas Fritas de Manjar. Ellen was a big help!

Hey Ellen comes by that honestly! I have a great pic of Rhett & Shawn from many years ago, sitting side by side on the loveseat at Phyllis and Jim's house, both sewing and tongues out. Hilarious!
I remember that first Chilean Christmas Eve, and I look forward to supplying the wine for next year's!!!
